And Gu Weiyi is one of My Favorite Green Flag Male Leads

If there’s one reason countless readers fall in love with this novel, it’s definitely Gu Weiyi. He’s intelligent. He’s quiet. He’s awkward. He’s socially inexperienced. And he’s absolutely adorable.

Unlike many romance heroes who are confident, flirtatious, and always know exactly what to say, Gu Weiyi struggles to express his emotions.

Being a physics genius doesn’t help him understand romance. In fact, watching him attempt to figure out love is one of the funniest parts of the novel. His affection isn’t expressed through grand romantic speeches. Instead, it’s shown through countless small actions. He remembers tiny details. He quietly takes care of Situ Mo. He notices things that others overlook. He always respects her boundaries. He never tries to change who she is.
